NewTopo (NZ) Ltd has published three new maps to encourage walking in the Auckland area
The maps emphasise the walking tracks and routes in the region, and the access roads to them.
They are very easy to read with a clear road network and full topography.

The Auckland North map is a larger scale, 1:75 000 map showing twenty-metre contours and relief shading, giving a realistic landform. The one kilometre grid is GPS compatible and is fully labelled.

Printed on a robust, waterproof synthetic paper and presented folded in a clear vinyl wallet for further protection.

WE HAVE MOVED!
As of close of business Friday 19th February we have relocated to the Hema Maps NZ building, Unit 2, 10 Cryers Rd, East Tamaki, AUCKLAND.

NEW LINZ TOPO MAPS

As many of you will now know, in September of last year Land Institute New Zealand (LINZ) released a full new series of updated 1:50,000 topographic maps, developed to be compatible with international mapping systems and modern navigational technologies such as GPS.

The difference between the old map series and the new Topo50 map series is equivalent to an approximate 200m change in position.

New Zealand's emergency services and search and rescue operators have adopted the new Topo50 maps and coordinates system, as a result, LINZ is encouraging New Zealanders who visit the outdoors and remote areas to update their maps so they're in line with what the emergency services are using – to make this easy for you Auckland Map Centre is now carrying the full Topo50 range!
