As with all NewTopo products, the maps have been carefully prepared with great attention to detail. They have a clear, logical road network and show 20m contours in a graphic relief representation. Each has a fully labelled one kilometre grid on the NZ Transverse Mercator Projection, and so is GPS compatible. They are finely printed using digital cartographic and printing technologies, and are presented in clear vinyl wallets.
