2007 is the 25th anniversary of the notorious Coast to Coast race – a tortuous 243km course from Kumara on the west coast to Christchurch's Sumner Beach on the east coast. Consisting of a 36km run, 140km cycle and 67km kayak, this is for the hardiest of NZ's hard out adventure sport racers. Robin Judkins is the charismatic organiser who turned a gloriously amateur affair into the world's top multisport adventure race. This book is a largely pictorial celebration of the race and its contestants. Importantly for the 25 years of contestants, it includes a DVD (glued into the inside back cover) which includes the times and placings of all participants as well as a photographic slideshow of many of them.
